Got a quote of $55 to dyno my bike. The name on the dyno machine is Mustang, and service tech said it's an eddy current dyno (??). They also provide exhaust analysis. I believe he said they test at 500rpm intervals. Complete test will take about 45 minutes. He showed me some of the charts from bikes they've run, and they look like what I've seen in magazines. Is this a good deal, rip-off, etc?
Thanks,
Dad

Hey Dad,
Where did you get the quote from? I live across state but they want upwards of $150 over here for the same thing.

$150 is way too much. $50 just for runs and printouts is fair, maybe a little high, I get runs locally at 2 spots, one charges me $30/hour. But if that's all you can find. Supply and demand. Depends on where you live and how much you want it done. There are also guys around here that will be glad to dyno the bike for $200 and up, let me get right in line.

Finally scheduled it, I'll be doing a dyno run saturday, 08 OCT 05, along with my best friend on his Kawasaki 1500 Vulcan Classic, and his wife's Suzuki Intruder Volusia 800. I don't know if they'll give me a disk or printout, but I'll try to post my results as soon after as possible.

Got the dyno quote from a small atv/motorcycle shop in Kansas City, just a couple of miles from the Chiefs/Royals Sports Complex, on 40 Highway. That's probably the best landmark, so this might give you some idea of its location. I'll try to remember to go by and get their name.
