In my line of work we are chaning stuff every day, What was being done 2 weeks ago is no longer accepted in soem cases. We do a lot of peer evals. Pretty much every months you review a peers reports who is in the same jab as you. As in a can not review a RN's reports nor can they mine. What we look as is what kind of medicine your providing to your patient. If I read a report and dont agree with how something was done, does not mean its wrong. Its just how they do it. But we double check each other for "problems". Thats how we supervise each other. As far as our " supervisor" on shift. he has no medical training at all. He makes no calls when it comes to patients, their treatment, and why we do what we do. He is there to make sure the company runs like it sohuld. He makes sure the trucks, helecopters, and planes are staffed. He handels personell(sp) issues, such as being late, not showing up, pay issues and so on. The crews do their best to handel performance issues, if we cant get it takend care of on a 1 to 1 basis it goes to our medical director and he makes a recomendation based on his findings.
