Thats a fine line. Like you I enjoy the feedback and I like to hear new and innovative ideas. I ahve also been able to see some of said ideas come to fruition. On the other side I hate it when this is taken to an extreme and that one person (cause it really is always just one person) disagrees with everything and spreads their bad attitude like a cancer.
But that is what management is about. You have to deal with all types and give everyone a chance.
My favorite part of management... development of people. To help them see they are capable and to help them understand how and why.
