I have just, today, become aquainted with the Bonny American. I thought the Bonny was what I wanted (after seeing one today), but after a test ride I could't deal with the rearset pegs and shifter location. The dealer said he had one with forward controls, a Triumph America, so I went in to see it. POW! It was love at first sight. I came home and started searching the net to find out more. I have already checked on some used ones, (I can't afford new), and placed my Kawasaki Drifter up for sale.
I thought I'd keep the Drifter the rest of my life, but the America has taken its place in my heart and head.
Hope to own one real soon.
