I removed the carbs and intake. I removed the top caps and guts, taped off the openings and plugged the holes that I didnt want to get paint in. I still had my stock screws so I just used a couple to keep the bowls on. Taped off the carb heater, idle cable and the chokes. Did some clean up and probably sprayed about five or more light coats for even coverage. I did pull the carbs apart and painted each one individually so that meant removing the braces, choke bar and some other bits. Keep an eye out for the small springs on the chokes and a smaller spring and ball for the choke arm. Oh....theres also a spring that likes to pop off that goes in between the carb balance thingy and the thingy the push pull cables attatch to.
Wasnt that hard and not even that time consuming. The paint dryed (?) or dried (?) fast so had I started in the morning it could have been done and assembled by late afternoon...but I had other things to do so it took me a couple days.
