I ordered Bub slip-ons from RideGear (www.ridegear.com)in October. My credit card was charged quite soon, but I'm still waiting for my pipes. I haven't get any confirmation and for some reason they don't reply to my mails. Has anyone else had problems with RG? Does anybody know a reliable dealer, that ships overseas?

This may not be RG's fault.
In discussion with my local dealer in June they mentioned Bub was back-ordered and they wouldn't have a set in till early '08. Not sure if there is any truth to this but RG should at least be communicating that to you.

Thanks guys! I'll make business with Eddy if I don't get my pipes from RG in near future (and if I get my $s back ;-). Maybe Bubs are still out of stock there. I just wonder why they don't communicate?

I'd call 'em. If you want someone in the states to do that for you, say the word. I for one would be happy to do it.

Bill! I would be very greatful for that! My timezone is +8 and I can write much better than discuss online ;-) This is from their website: Toll Free Order Line; 1(800) 515-1380, Hours; Mon. - Fri. 8am-5pm PST (11am-8pm EST). My reference is RG1070382. If you really do that, I'll owe you a big one!

Eddie is THE MAN... When I ordered my BUBs I had heard from other sources that they were back ordered. I checked with him to see if he handled BUBs. Even he said they might be BO'd BUT 1 week later I had them. Eddie searches under stones to please his customers. His services is second to none.

Their phone was busy for a couple of hours. When I got through, it was #1 to place order, #2 for order inquiry. I hit 2. Went on hold for 27 min., listening to elevator music. Kept hearing the chords to Midnight at the Oasis. Never heard Maria Muldaur or Amos Garret's guitar, though. Rob answered. Said his computer was coming up. Put me on hold 3 min. Came back & verified order booked 10-28. Still checking status. Then said "Well, it should be very soon now - 1 - 1 1/2 - maybe 2 weeks". Translate that as you see fit. I asked if it was their policy to bill a customer's card before shipping. He said "Well, it IS a prepaid order". BMc: So that IS your policy? Rob: Yes. He said he'd send you an email explaining the status. I told him that would be a good thing because you had inquired previously and gotten no response.
In the vintage section at rat.net, there's an AUP discouraging the classifying of suppliers as good or bad. I don't know why that is. We probably oughta keep a s***tlist here.

Bill (rhnstn)! Man...you really showed some biker brotherhood! After your call I got my response from RG telling my BUBs should be shipped in two weeks. I really appreciate your efforts in this case and would be glad to get a chance to help you sometimes, somehow. I owe you a BIG ONE!

I ordered some gloves and a lock from there two weeks ago, never received a shipping email, but they charged me immediately needless to say. I finally call today, and after 30 minutes on hold I find the gloves have shipped, and actually due to arrive today, but the lock is on back order. After asking why I wasn't informed of this, they told me it was company policy. So I canceled the lock, am praying I get the right gloves today, and they refund my card in the near future.
How in the ****** can it not be company policy to inform the customer of back ordered items on the same order. It's almost 2008, we can land crap on Saturn's moons, but they can't handle the stupid stuff like an email.
I really hate being calm and polite when the guy on the other end deserves a boot up his a$$. But yelling at a phone never got anything done faster, it just makes the other guy not want to help you.
