Thanks for your reply RCV, also posted to your cams thread. About a month ago, posted dyno results of my ride with the cams and CRS carbs. While the numbers weren't anything spectacular, and basically said I didn't really know how to tune my carbs for power, the shape of the HP and Torque curves bear out what you're saying about the Speedmaster engine liking the additional revs. At the 7900 RPM limit my HP Curve was still climbing, and wasn't really exhibiting signs of a drop-off. My torque curve was still showing 40 FT-Lbs at 7900 RPM, so I think I could reasonably expect to hang in there around 8500ish or so. So it now just comes back to the mechanical integrity of the engine above 8 grand, and the ease of getting that kind of modified ignitor in the states.
