The Sportster rack works great for me. Carried all my camping gear piled high to Birmingham Alabama a couple of times. Tied on with a few bungies. I have a rubber washer under mine because it does scratch the paint a little. Doesn't mount with slotted America pillion pad bolt though, front hole is just a hole in a flat plate that sits under the chrome America seat mounting plate.
