Very nice stuff there, Mark!
I can't remember if I've ever told you about this one guy I've run into numerous times out here in L.A. by the name of Larry, like you an ex-pat Brit, who bolted a CB750(early single cammer) engine into a '69 BSA triple's frame about 7 or 8 years ago, and he calls it the "Rocket 4". It's somewhat "cafed out" too, but has flat handlebar on it instead of the clip-ons.(he's about my age...GOOD CHOICE!!!)

Seeing as how the BSA frames(or indeed most of the britbikes of the time) where considered superior to the Japanese frames, and the CB750 being a major step forward in mass-produced engine design, this bike pretty much took the best of each and he has a very nice looking and handling retro machine.
It was also featured in Cycle World Magazine's "American Flyer" series a few years back.
