Ok...so right off the bat I'm going to say..yes I'm new and I don't know anything...that being said... I just ordered a pair of Khrome Werks slip ons for my bike and I absolutely no idea what to do about jetting when I put them on. Some of the pipes I've been looking at say that they don't need re-jetting, and some plain don't say anything at all. So my questions are: how do you know when you need to re-jet your bike and will I need to re-jet it for the Khrome Werks slip ons? Thanks!
Hi Speedmastergirl,
Heres a link to Dingua's Jetting Calculator. (Windows only) The Kromewerks pipes aren't listed, but you could select something similar with good results. When you get your pipes, look through them like a telescope. If you can see through them, then they are probably absorber type pipes, and you could substitute Staintunes in the calculator. If you can't see through them then that probable means they have baffles, and you could substitute TORs. I don't know about the other pipes that are listed in the calculator. Maybe someone else will jump in here. It doesn't make that much difference. If you only add the pipes with no other modifications, then you probably only need to go to 125s or 128s. Maybe 130s at the very most.
Good luck Cody
