I seperated the stock grip from the bar by using a long thin micro screwdriver (a wire coat hanger would work too). The I shot some WD40 into it. Let it sit a few minutes, grabbed the grip and started turning it...as the WD 40 made its way around the grip slid off like it was on butter then I cleaned the bar off. I installed and noted the position of the throttle grip while I was waiting for the clutch side to soak in. I adjusted then put the clutch side on to match.
