Yes as a matter of fact I was returning to my helicopter that was sitting in the middle of a closed down interstate with the blades turning cause this was a hot load situation. It does not matter that I was going to or from my bird. It does not matter if I was treating a patient or not. I does not matter beacuse thye breached a action circle and put thems selves in harms way. What happens if the reporter gets to close to a car that has been cut open to get her story and slips? She falls, possably landing on something sharp, injuring her self and now has become a patient. Accidnet scens are not safe, there are many diffrent people form EMS, to Fire Dept, to Police, to Haz-mat aqll there doing a job. there is 0 room for someone who is untrained to be in such enviroments. There are fire hoses on the ground, powerfull tools being used, as well as sharp shards of metal and galss all over the place. You are not allowed with in 10 feet of the car being that is being cut open unless you have on full turnout gear. This means EVERYONE. I am not allowed to approach the car untill all rescue operations are complete and the patient has been removed. These are laws mandated by the state. The news media feels the laws do not pertain to them. be it on a accident scene a house fire or some other type of emergency. They constantly ignore the rules breach the safety lines to get a "good shot".. Do I feel bad about that I said to her? Not in the least. I can respect them doing their job, we all do. But sticking a mic in my face in the middle of aaccident scene is not respectufl to me or the other emergency workers..

And I am known in the news media as the person you DO NOT want to talk to!!!!

No the Navy did not show up,something to do with the getting a rescue ship 60 miles up the interstate had the capt a little nervy lol
