(five'll get ya ten few of these kids(under 35, that is) around here will know the answers to the following..... 1-"Rosebud." 2-"Of all the gin joints in all the world, she had to walk into mine." 3-"Stella! Oh, Stella!" 4-"Harry Lime is dead." 5-"Sometime fate makes the wrong men King." (you see, all these lines are from "some obscure" old B&W movies...I think my 5 bucks is safe)

No.5 was the last line in "The Prisoner Of Zenda", Rob "Old Boy" . I know, maybe not considered in the same league as those classics, "Citizen Kane", "Casablanca", "A Streetcar Named Desire", or "The Third Man", but I think it's one of the best old swashbucklers ever made.(especially the 1937 version starring Ronald Colman, but even the 1952 remake starring Stewart Granger is pretty darn good)

Not offended. But anyway, if that line I quoted is in "The Stand" one of two screenwriters copied it 'cause I'm thinking of another movie. SteveB

Yep it's in The Stand too. Since I don't know what movie you are talking about I have no idea who was first (or on first) but I would imagine that line or similar is in a few movies.
