I saw the report on Fox news. It featured an animation showing the bag inflated and the rider hitting it. Evidently, the thought at Honda was to slow the rider as he/she was thrust forward. Personally, I didn't see much benefit. It slows one down as one moves toward the handlebars and that's it. Instead of flying 10 feet over the bars, you end up 5 feet over the bars. If you ask me, a suit that would inflate like one of those Sumo outfits that were popular in bars a few years ago, would be better!
