Fixin' to go for a scoot when I finish this. "Only" 63 here but should be cooler in NC mountains where I'm headed so don't anyone worry about me getting heat stressed.

No snow here, but we do have about 1/4" of ice and more freezing rain coming down. I never remember how much i dislike winter until it comes along and does something like this! Now I have to go out and salt the sidewalks. I'm moving south!!!

Funny you mention that, my friend is bringing me a snowmobile for free this week. It needs an accelerator pump and is ready to go. It's old and runs just fine with good track and is free.
Did I mention the free part?
Oh, and we found out that here at our new house, there is a major snowmobile trail right next door to us, and it comes out at 4 different bars. I guess I will become a sledder after all.

I LOVE snow. I love to ride, but it is skiing and ice hockey time now! It is now 12 degrees and seems to be dropping. I am building an ice rink next to my house right now. 40x80 ft. Construction lights for night time and enclosed music system. The kids love it. Last year we were skating in a snowstorm on Christmas Eve. It was like a Norman Rockwell painting.

By March, I will be "jonesing" for bike riding, though.

I think the high country is getting on the order of 3 more feet out of this current storm. Not so much here in town. Add a few wreaths and you have Christmas .

We've had below average annual ppt for almost 10 years now. Rivers are low, wells and springs doing poorly, wildfire every summer. It can snow straight through till March for all I care. Besides, every once in awhile one of the members from Sweden posts a picture and I no longer feel sorry for myself

Instead of a 1500 cruiser, maybe Triumph ought to broaden into a 1500 snow machine

rode 150 mles yesterday, 150 today,,82*,,, it's almost over for us too. will get cold a week or 2, then warm back up to 65-75 through middle of jan., then get cold and stay cold 'til middle of march. the good news is ,,,we have those 55-65 days in between, therefore i ride 12 months a year. my cut-off is 35*, if sun is shining. gonna try it all winter this year since getting FJR, since it's full faired and heated grips. the snow was "different" and puurrty when i was young, but now,,, baaahhh humbuggg!!!!!

I gotta jump on a plane out of BDL at 8:00 am tomorrow to sunny PBI for a family funeral. We're expecting an inch of snow / ice by flight time.

Got Prestone?

Snow here in NH. Oh well, I winterized the bike and hooked up the battery tender. Time to throw another log in the wood stove. It's winter in NH. Spring can't come soon enough for me.

Soon as they throw down sand on the road it's all over for me. It's too bad as the Tiger has a shield and heated grips and I'm going to buy a heated vest. I guess I can start riding earlier in the Spring, though! Anyone going to the IMS in NY this month?

We sat on the tarmac for FOUR (count 'em) FOUR hours waiting to de-ice. It's been sunny & 70s here, so I s'pose that makes up for it. Odd thing is, here in West Palm Beach, I've seen maybe 3 motorcycles in 3 days? Weird.

Flew into Boston yesterday to fixx one of our 737-700's...#7 slat actuator...United was kind enough to put us in their hangar, out of the blowing snow, 25 mph winds. Got home at regular time here in the ATL...
