Anybody have a pair of the D&D megaphone exhausts (chrome slip ons) fitted as I would like a bit of info as to how they sound, was rejetting necessary etc. Gotta sound better than the stocks or the TORs?
Great site - just joined and already found a solution to a problem with my neutral light. Can't keep away from this site now!

respectable noise level until you get on it then they bark and growl bigtime. Some call them obnoxiously loud but I like them. You'll have to go to a bigger main but the stock pilots should be ok. That setup worked for me.

With a stock air box, My dealer installed 45 pilots and that was it. They will bark when you get on it. The tone is not super deep like BUBs, but not as thin as say drag pipes. I've had them, they run well, but be ready to repack them fairly soon (which is to be expected with any re-packable baffle system). If you dig the inverted cone look, they are quite good pipes. Very well engineered and quality on mine was very good. Here is a pic of them on mine when it was just delivered:

They do look good. I have also removed the AI so it may be just a case of experimenting with the jetting.

Just for interest, I'm interested in hearing what the D&D's sound like. Does anyone have a link they can post of a sound clip of them in action.
I Really like the look of them but I wouidln't want pipes that are too loud

Thanks for your reply Tony. Some really love their D&D's and I really like the look of them. I would only consider buying a pair though if they sounded great, say like the Thundbikes. Other than that I'll just keep my own.

The closest I can get is a set of Emgo Reverse cones on my Bonnie and I don't really know how they compare to D&D but here's the link...a D&D owner can tell us if this is close. Emgo reverse cones on a 360

Stock pipes are 93db, my D&Ds measured 113db when the police & Environment Protection Authority pulled me up last week, they sounds great (even copper said so), but are loud especially when the revs are high. With the freak, I use stock 42 pilot jets, and 150 mains.
TBA, Stainless extractors / drag pipes, 65mm over forward controls, Thruxton needles, 904cc, head ported, lowered 1-inch, Console removed, relocated battery box, Australia.

I remember mine being a little brighter and more "snap" in the note. I do remember if you opened the throttle while on the starter, they would start with a bang! Occasionally was useful and worked on demand.

I agree, mine sound a bit more 'race like', raspier when you blip the throttle, but they sound like the clip when accelerating under load.
