Hi, just wanted to stop in and introduce myself, I just found this site and I'm so excited to find a group of Triumph riders! I just got a Speedmaster in August, it is a 2006 hold-over, and I absolutely love it! I'm looking forward to customizing it. Just thought I would say hello!

Enjoy your ride, and don't let anyone else tell you their's is faster!
Lots of good info here,,. I have an almost new 06...it's only got 3000 miles, but long and boring story about why I didn't ride much this year.
If you can pick up a wrench, you can do some of the mods yourself, like remove the AI and put on some nice pipes and K&N air filters.... then get someone else to do the rejet unless you want to do that too...
Makes a difference with performance.
The Speedy may not be the fastest bike or the most outlandish, but it sure is the most fun!
Oh and you'll get lots of "I used to own a Triumph... " from lots of people... so be prepared!
enjoy!
Mary

Thanks everyone for such a warm welcome..I feel at home already! And also welcome Donny too! Sorry for you blue and red lovers out there...I have to admit that mine's black! I've already been on the newspeedmaster.com and whoa ...I was drooling at some of that stuff..and cringing at the price tags. It will just have to be one piece at a time.

Ya well, hang tight onto that thought. It's how we all started. Other famous quotes "I'm finished now".

Johnny Cash...."One Piece at a Time"

CHORUS
I'd get it one piece at a time
And it wouldn't cost me a dime
You'll know it's me when I come through your town
I'm gonna ride around in style
I'm gonna drive everybody wild
'Cause I'll have the only one there is a round."

Don't admit that it's black. Gloat!!. Black Speedmasters are the premium of the line .

Welcome.

And don't go taking out student loans to spend with Brent .

Sure your steed is a black one, but ya got red hair, therefor you've still got the best combination, RED and BLACK! Rock on!!!(My wonderfully patient and beautiful wife has red hair, thats why I married her, cause she matches!)

Don't know WHY, but for some reason my mind went straight to the ol' "drapes matching the carpeting" punchline here!!!

(sorry Richard)

BTW...welcome Mikkell and Donny!!!

Yep! Just like a good Single Malt Scotch, you might call me "an acquired taste" TOO.(among the many OTHER things you may care to call me, of course)
