How shall I put this? Ok, I’ll just tell it like it is. There is a person on this site that irks me. I have no valid reason for this he just irks me. I won’t say who it is, but if I did, you would say “whataya mean? How could he possible irk you??” I don’t know how he just does. They say you can meet people that you dislike on sight. I know this is true because a lot of people have told me that they disliked me on sight, and some of them you might know... I’m sure you guys know or have known someone who you didn’t like for no valid reason other than the fact that you just don’t like him. Well, anyway that’s not what I want to talk about. What I want to talk about is the Ignore List. I put this person on my ignore list yesterday and it… is… great! He no longer irks me and I am starting to enjoy this great site again. I’m really getting into it. My interest in my bike is renewed. I wanna do stuff. What I mean is: I’m interested again and it feels great.

if life gives you lemons keep them because hey, free lemons.

Kenny, you should know better then to let 1 or 2 people effect your motorcycle life!

of course if I was the person you put on ignore I suppose you will never read this...

So how does one find out if we are on the ignore list.

Hmmm....Hey Kenny! Would this particular individual often rely much too heavily on blatant sarcasm to get his points across???

(well...if I don't get a response here, I guess I'll have a pretty good idea of who this dude might be, huh?!)

Yep! Just like a good Single Malt Scotch, you might call me "an acquired taste" TOO.(among the many OTHER things you may care to call me, of course)

You send everyone on the site a PM saying you have a check for them in the amount of $1000. The ones you don't hear from are the ones that chose to put you on their list.

However, once all those that responded don't get their check, you'll be on their list too. (Catch-22)

I know when I'm on my kid's ignore list...

...it's when she puts her hands over her ears and says
"I can't hear you"

Now, now, Ian! Why on God's green earth would ANYBODY put YOU on their ignore list????

I mean...you may be one good-for-nothin', ratfink, no-account, non-helmet wearing dummy and all, but geez...I LIKE YA!!!

(just kiddin' dude...I meant about the "good-for-nothin', ratfink, no-account" part that is, of course....but ya gotta admit the "non-helmet wearing dummy" part is true enough though, HUH?!)

I thought you meant the like me part!

I don't wear a helmet but I wouldn't go as far as the dummy part! That and I'm not totally useless I can always serve as a bad example!

Satxron I don't want to say in case they can fix it. I figured it out back when Dinqua had me on ignore. I would have to check again to see he was still ignoring me.

Click on their name in the left column and then find the link that says "ignore this user."

You'll see they posted but instead of their post content you'll see "You are ignoring this user." And if someone else quotes their post, you'll see the ignored post content. It's far from perfect.

...OR Dave, burying your head in the sand will serve the very same purpose.

As you can tell, I've never used this feature, and probably never will. You see, I've always gotten a kick out of it when someone differs with my assessments of things or my strongly held beliefs. You see, it gives me the chance to enlighten said individual to "the facts"! (see: "guilty pleasure")

And besides, I've always found that even those people who I find may sometimes irritate me can sometimes come up with some facts that I never knew before, and if I had them on my ignore list, I'd never know this new bit of information.

(and I like thinkin' I know more "stuff" than my average fellow citizen does...I'm a bit insecure that way, ya know...but then again, I'm REALLY good at "Jeopardy", dude!!!)
