I agree that most people who take the time to read signs, let alone digest the info on them, are not the ones that are the problem, BUT!! Here in NY, a lot of the electric signs that give traffic updates are also the ones that warn to look out for bikes. Now THOSE signs get read by the impatient people who want to know the fastest way, etc. THEY are the ones that are a problem! So like bob said, every little bet might just help! Certainly can't hurt.
