The anticipation has increased now!! I had seen that video a while back. The sound is like the classic, kinda a sewing machine sound. Some different pipes down the line should take care of that

BA has Freak, 160mains, 44pilots, air mix3 1/2 to 4 turns, BUBS dresser dogs. Never had more fun on any bike - 2nd bike 2008 RIIIT

Just got my Cycleworld, and they have a two page write up on this bike. More changes than just the motor!! I only skimmed it, but they use a steeper rake, more trail, smaller dia front, and 180 rear to make it handle better. Frame is 3 inches longer too. All that makes me wish you could get the bags and pipes and put them on a regular rocket...

I stopped by Capital Area Triumph (Harrisburg PA) yesterday and they had a Rocket III on the floor (blue/blue). They were allocated two bikes but Triumph wants them to sell 20% more bikes in '08...

As for the bike, WOW! It's even nicer in person. The bags look first rate, are large enough and appear to have a good seal (guess them learned their lesson on the ST bags two years ago). What really impressed me were the details - the turn signals, rear signals/tailight, floor boards, wire loom in the front of the handlebars. All looked very nicely styled and the chrome finish was Harley-like. The bags include carry bags for each side. The quick-detach windshield is easy to work and the manager says the bike came secured to the shipping crate attached to the windshield mount points - that is ssecure! The wheels look great as well. I REALLY like this bike.

The new tank compared to a standard Rocket tank is no comparison. The Touring model is somewhat sleek, which is not a word You'd use when describing the standard's tank. They're doing a demo day on 3/28 - 3/29 and a Rocket Touring will be available. My youngest in college for two more years is the only thing that kept me from buying it right off the floor (well, I think the black/white is a more attractive color combo).

With only two per dealer, maybe they'll move so quick that temptation won't be an issue...
