Here in Iowa, license plate sticker fee every year is calculated on what the vehicle is worth, depreciating year by year. I once stood in line behind an older gentleman who was getting plates for his and her, one year old cadilacs. Each car plate cost him $800!!!
I was glad I was getting plates for my old 71 el camino at $35!
