I have noticed a lot more Anonymous users on line these days, I wonder why they do not fancy joining in? And also if the majority of them own America's/Speedmasters or Triumphs at all. Come on in guys your knowledge may be very useful in here

I think they like to give photos a rating of 1 and not seem like an a-hole

I don't get the anonymity , why would users be concerned that others would know that they are logged on ?

You don't have to sign in if you save your password and bookmark it to that site. I personally think it's the HD riding aliens.....
06 BA, TOR's, 17T front sprocket, 135/42, needles shimmed, AI removed, drilled airbox, K&N air filter, desnorked, SM seat and risers, drag bars, pro-grips....let's ride!!

Naw.... it seems on every forum there's always a bunch of peeps that won't sign in, won't post, wont' do nutting except read. My buddy Steve has a Harley forum. He figured out for every hundred posters, there's pbly close to 1000 just reading. No idea why.... same complaint on every forum I've ever been to. mary

In a prior life I set up dozens of forums. Mary is exactly right. One of the causes is fear of being picked on by the regulars in many forums due to lack of expertise with a computer. "OH NO NOT THAT QUESTION AGAIN" responses when it is the persons first post. That will make many a lurker forever. A well run forum with lots of information will answer lots of questions for them without signing in too. There is a function on the board that will require login for us to see the threads. If you do that, they will log in but still won't post. Age old mystery
I try to aggravate one person a day. Today may be your day.

I check in occasionally from work where I do not login. This makes me appear as anonymous.

Maybe certain sections should be made sign in only. not that it'd solve the non-posters, but at least it'd prompt more to sign up, i doubt that's a problem either, but hey ho!

We ,for the most part, all welcome different view points (can't speak for the good friar! ) and gleen ideas and mods from each other. A fresh thought or idea is in my view is always a good thing weather I agree with it or not. We all have our own tastes. I for one welcome anything that any new person has to offer.

I ALWAYS butt in....normally after a glass or two of wine... Like now really....
Don't be afraid of butting in, it's the only way to understand how this place really works. You'll get the pi$$ taken out of you, but after a while you'll see it as warped affection...or that's how I like to see it, but maybe that's the wine...

Before I decided whether or not to go with a Triumph, I cruised the various postings, looking for all the pros and cons about getting one. There's so much information here it took me a while to get through everything that looked like it fit, and I still haven't ever even looked at the archived stuff. At that point there didn't seem to be much reason to post because all the questions I had seemed like they were already answered in a lot of the older posts. Once I finally made the plunge and got my bike, I joined immediately. Anyway, the community of Triumph owners out there seemed like a bunch of cool cats compared to some of the others out there. It was one of the things that finally got me to take the plunge. I guess I'm just saying that some of the anonymous users may be people who are considering taking the plunge, but haven't really committed yet. (Either that or they're just a bunch of voyuers who get off on the thought of owning a Triumph! )

I gotta say, kinda again, and agreeing with smoke..., these are some cool cats! I've got a very old chrysler, with a bunch of fella's in a relevant web site, and they always make you feel like an idiot when you ask a question. At least here, I KNOW I'm an idiot!, but everybody is cool with it!

Went on a ride the other weekend with a few people.A couple of the bikes were Hardleys.Would not comment on my Speedmaster would barely look at it.SLOWest ride I had been on ever with a group of bikes .There was a total of five bikes, mine the only Triumph. They are probably looking in wishing they had a Triumph. Well at least they are riding ,maybe they will log in and comment now. That could be good.By the way I do know of people who own Triumphs and Harleys(though not many).Maybe they will sign in now.

I would not bother too much on the spelling front, just take a good look through the forum and you'll see quite a few are not good at it. As long as I don't need an interpreter and can get what you mean that is fine by me.. oh and welcome Billthecat, glad to have you on board..
You will also find that there is a good few on here that have never ever met, remember we are worldwide and it's hard to meet people in your own country never mind anywhere else..

Hi All, Im often an anonymous user as I no longer have a Bonneville America and feel I have nothing (Bike worthy) to contribute- I still come to this site though - at least once a week to chime in and keep updated with what I believe is one of the best forums I am a member of.Its the members that make it. I still look back fondly to my America and am glad I made the video of the bike http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=X4jkTELo_rQI have just logged onto my private messages and replied to someone from 5 weeks ago! (note to myself)must log in more often and contribute! Hope you are all well RodYork
