I agree with Ian and Dutch - there is a lot to be said about the
" purist " merits of being in the wind . It's a price to pay - whenever I ride it's like being in a pillow fight . I put one on Derinda's Sportster , and it's nice , but somehow I cherish form over function . I suppose that a less obtrusive ( Memphis ) windshield would be a viable compromise . Sometimes we are in a group of 25 or so bikes and I am the only one " out in the wind " . It's just like running boards or pegs , pillion or single - like the Triumph slogan invitingly states - " Go Your Own Way " .
