Yeah, that "thin look" looks great. I would imagine you need to take apart the front end to remove the shrouds.
By the way, I used the original handlebars with the pull back risers to begin with, but it set me back too far, and all my weight was on my tailbone. Hurt my back. Thus the need for the drag bars.
