My tach had some condensation in it and I removed it to see if I could open it up. The unit looks like it's completely closed or not meant to be serviced. The only way to open it up (that I can see) would be to bend the metal piece that holds the 'glass' and go in that way. Only problem is that once you bend that piece it probably won't go back to it's original shape.
