Nick, I lost my wife 10 years ago, she was 32. The memories of the wonderful times we spent together are as vivid today as they were then. I'm sure that you'd trade places with her in a heartbeat, That's true love. Then she'd have to face this awful pain.
I lost my identical twin brother more recently. I think to myself, would I rather have not had this person in my life not to have to endure this despair and the answer is obvious. The losses I have endured have helped me to become a better person.
I know it's small consolation, but many poeple you've never even met are thinking about you, and our hearts are breaking also. I wish that I could carry some of your pain my friend.
