Or, like me, you could live in a rural area and own a hybrid and consistently get 38 mpg (Toyota Camry sedan). I have a friend who's owned a Toyota Highlander Hybrid for 3 years and she gets 30mpg 24/7. So, pick your own poison...it costs more but it uses less fuel. My motto: be part of the solution, not part of the problem.
