Quote: I'd love to see a Bonnie pull away from an XLH 1200.
Ralph Now I am at 185 lbs maybe that gives me an edge, but every Harley I have ridden with cannot keep up with me from the start or on the highway. I have a buddy with an 1980's 1200 something He can make it a challenge but I stick right with him.
But bar NONE no Harley keeps up with me (I don't count Buells because they really are not truly Harley in design) But I can smoke them all for handling in the curves and twisties. Now maybe they are all a bunch of Posers rather than riders but that has been my experience, they have tried and failed. There has only been one bike That has left me in the dust and I tip my hat to it, an Iron Horse cruiser with a 117 CI S&S Of that I am not ashamed!
The America is nimble and agile. Best ride I have ever straddled...ok I would take a Rocket if someone would give me one but before I buy one of those I am going to do a major Big Bore renovation and see what Blue can really do!
