A lot of sport bikes are running 12:1 stock. I know this will make you feel better. I Dynoed a 95 Road king today. Has the Screaming Eagle intake and air filter ( aobut 400 bucks plus install) a set of Super Trapps pipes( about 600 plus install) and something else. I think some head work not sure tho.. did 2 runs in 3rd gear and 2 runs in 4th gear. Max HP was 69.3 max Tq was 73.1... The line was nice and flat ( did not put the sniffer in, for a A/f reading), but the bike ran really really well. Sad that 1200 and your smoking him..

Anyone wanting head work I can take care of it, PM me if you want more info.

Hunh. Ok, interesting -- 12:1 requires more fuel (well, higher octane, anyway), and is potentially more likely to grenade, but it's otherwise the same price. I'll be very curious to hear what folks say when they get a few thousand miles on 'em, but if they prove to be reasonable that sounds like a MUCH better solution than the stroker kit (at least for the cost).

Barring that, the 10.5:1 is still pretty good, and a damnsight better than the stock 790 (which is what I'm currently running with pods et al).

Any idea what the comparos are between the 10 and the 12, or are the data out yet? You say the 10.5 is pushing over 70hp? That's pretty good! I REALLY wanna know what the 12 is, then.

Moo hoo ha ha.

When I go back for my 1000 mile check, I'll ask them how their average dyno results differ between the two pistons. They gave me the impression that the reliability would be the same. I'm really happy with the performance gains with their standard 904 kit. It's a MAJOR difference from my 790 which they had tweaked with carb mods and pipes. After 1000 miles I'm anxious for them to do some additional tweaking, but I don't see myself going any further with this bike and performance mods. Even riding 2-up I probably can outrun my friends that have Road Kings and Soft Tail Deluxes. With the additional torque the bike has tremendous throttle response and quickness it didn't have before. I haven't been able to ride this week and need another 200 miles on it before running it to red line and really seeing what it can do.
