Does anyone here ever play blackjack or any table game at a casino? If so, when you catch a string of bad luck do you get really ****** at the dealer or curse out loud or try to stare the dealer down? Just curious as I had a pretty colorful experience last night and ended up getting a guy barred from the casino I work at.

Sounds like you had a sore looser on your table.

I just came back from Curacao and took the opportunity to try my luck at the poker table. Mind you, I'm not a gambler, but I always try to keep my cool, no matter where i am. I just don't believe in wearing my emotions on my sleeves (I guess that's the stoic german side of me).

I would have done the same, if the shoe was on the other foot. I'm somewhat extrovert when it comes to telling people what I think of them. Congratulations!

My wife spent 8+ years in a casino, I celebrate the day she left! Her mother still works there. Unfortunately in that environment, too many people turn into dirtbags!

I'm not saying that i dislike my job in any way, in fact i rather enjoy it. It's just funny that people get upset with me for something i have absolutely no control over, (cards). Just curious about other peoples reactions to things like this.

I don't gamble beyond playing the lottery or buying the occasional ticket from someone at work, but my wife loves to play the slot machines. No one goes to a casino with the idea that they are going to lose....
I have had long talks with her about setting limits and walking away when she is ahead or when she has lost her "grubstake", but once the fever sets in, all bets are off, pun intended. Some people just handle it better than others. Playing against a machine is one thing, having someone to blame is another.
Again, some people handle it better than others.

The very few times I do gamble for me it is just entertainment. I go there with the idea that the amount of money I have set aside is already lost. Normally I walk out even or a few bucks ahead and had a great time of it all.

I don't gamble at all on anything, unless riding my bike counts as a gamble.

The only (semi-)serious gambling I've done in a decade was a month-and-a-half ago, slots at Pechanga in California and the Rio in Vegas and I won $300. I didn't see anyone lose their minds but it seemed like me and my cousins were the only ones having fun. Everyone else looked pretty dour.

I play poker about once a month with a regular group of buddies, strictly nickel-dime-quarter stuff, and last Saturday I won a whopping $2. But that's pretty good for me. I'm usually lucky to break even.

I've been married a few times, that's enough gambling for me.

People, especially these days, are never responsible for anything they do. If things don't go exactly as they wish, it is all someone else's fault. Look how religious people blame everything that goes wrong on God or his counterpart.
