Really neat idea they have with the chaps. I have a duster that buttons up the legs to make protection from the rain. These started out as oiled cotton, but now are mostly just cotton. I don't know if there is a way to oil it up again, it went from black to a gray in about 7 years. Its actually held up pretty good, considering all the flapping it does while rideing. Looks really cool. Its good for a short ride in the rain, but it will never replace a good electric vest and rain suit.
