Well, Lonzo, what is it now?
My dayjob is shifting from Web Designer/Developer to Business Analyst and Requirements Manager. I can still do web design on the side but I'm finding lately that I don't want to. Weird. Is this what adulthood is like?

Yah, me too! I'm a drum and backline roadie for an established country/pop singer these days. Better job, lower pay, happy times

I hadn't seen this thread before. I have said in other threads, that I am a major crimes investigator for the state of nevada. I travel around to rural areas and handle investigtions that are too costly, too sensitive or too large for smaller agencies. I get to work with great guys and girls in law enforcement all over the state. Before that I drove a beer delivery truck, should have kept that job. All the free breakage I could carry. Prior to that, I did special ops work for the Army. All peace time.

Have been a residential and commercial construction superintendent for over 30 years, now a housing rehabiltation specialist for local county. Low income housing rehab. Do quite alot of side work, remodeling and the like. Would certainly like to give that up and ride more, but have too many extra expenses coming.

Undergrond miner, more to the point, a twin boom jumbo operator. 1. Drill holes and then blow them up to find gold. 2. Support the ground with rock bolts called splitsets and a couple of sheets of mesh. Next step - see Number 1.

People see me and want a body like mine. They don't see the work that goes in to getting in this shape! I have to stick to a VERY strict diet of beer, pizza, beer, curry, beer, burgers, pork rind, beer, bacon sandwiches, kebabs and beer. Some days it (the strict denial of pleasures others take for granted) gets me down but I have to put my art first and just think of the gift I give to others.

You are a true artist, Ade. I'm trying though, believe me, I'm trying. The problem I encounter is the whole "starving artist" paradox here.
See...I have a bit of a tunnel vision problem. I get to the point where I focus all of my time, energy, and resources on one aspect...typically Wild Turkey and various inexpensive beers (although they come at a premium price now that I'm back in NYC). Which leaves little room in my measly "artist" budget allocated towards pizza, curry, pork rinds, bacon sandwiches, and kebabs.
If only I could find another "corporate sponsorship" to allow further funding of the art.

Well ya KNOW Mark, you COULD always apply for one o' those government grants they seem to be throwin' at everybody nowdays! Ya think a billion or so might help ya get yourself re-established in that particular "field"??? I mean, what's another billion or so today, huh?! THAT ought'a at least keep you stocked full of those "artist supplies" like Wild Turkey for a good long while anyway, RIGHT?!
(well, I suppose that is IF you don't ever invite Yota over to your "studio"!)
