Hi everybody!
I'm new to the site and just wanted to say hello. I am the proud new owner of an 07 America (Pacific Blue/New England White) and just love the bike. I also got the fantastic $1200 Accessory promo that Triumph has and am getting the highway windshield, tall sissy bar/rack, shorty pipes and a tachometer which should be installed this coming weekend. I spent many months looking at what my next bike would be, and the Triumph America just kept coming back to the front of the line, so I bought one!
I'm here in the Seattle, WA area so if there are any riders around this area that want to go for a ride, just PM me and we'll go!
Also wanted to say this is a great site and am excited to be a part of it!

I... but I like the idea of owning the bigger engine...
The bigger engine doesn't mean more power. The 790 makes more HP. The 865 makes more torque. If presented with the option, I'd buy the 790 (and I own an 865).
2002 Bandit 1200/ GSXR cams/ 1277 BB Kit/ Holeshot header and can/ 38mm flatslides/ a good head/lotsa hp/lotsa tq- lots of rear tires...

I bought my bike at I-90 Motorsports in Issaquah. They are completely awesome, the best in the area to buy a Triumph. Talk to Frank in sales, he will hook you up. Never go to Cycle Barn, they are terrible. They tried to sell me an 07 America at $400 over MSRP + $1300 in freight charges, I just laughed and walked out.
I-90 has a few 07 Speedys left in stock and Frank is ready to make a deal for you. Not sure if they have any America's in stock right now but feel free to check. Also tell him that Kirk sent you in :-)
I paid way less than MSRP but I also purchased a demo bike with 344 miles on it so they were able to save me some extra cash but you will still pay under MSRP. They will make you a great deal. I have bought my last 2 bikes from them and they really care about you and saving you money.

I know a lot of people that have bought their bikes at I-90, but then join Cycle Barn's RAT Pack.

Welcome to Triumph world , as FJ dew-ly, doely, dooley, dually noted above; All you Cougs & Huskies watch for the Nelson, BC gathering next July. It'll get posted in "rides 'n ralleys" when they publish the dates. Good family fun: bingo, lawn bowling, curling-for-beginners etc. Get your passport app's in, unless of course there's things better not brought to light. In which case I know of a little used logging road in the Eureka area Cheers jh
