Right then, I now have said socket. I think I could fit it without taking the tank off, but there's a bloody great black box thing in the way. I think it may be part of the alarm system. I don't have time now, but will have a look in the morning. I was even shocked to see the socket plug cramed full of grease.....someone did their job properly after all....
