I installed the turn signal conversion kit from Electrical Connection. It mounts two, LED rings around the bulb of each turn signal. They glow red during non-signal use, serve as running lights. When you apply the brakes, they glow bright red. I think it dramatically increases my presence at night and I feel much safer waiting to turn across traffic on a two-lane with folks passing around my right. Easy to install and inexpensive at $50:
