That's true now that you mention it. Hobbits of the 70's have become quite scarce these days, not including the invented Hollywood version. Gnomes on the other hand, while rarely seen, commonly throw roadside debris like hubcaps, chunks of firewood, pieces of retread onto the asphalt, at least in these parts. I believe they live in culverts and under bridges, or that may be Trolls. Could be a Troll is a Gnome gone bad?
