Well I am the GUY that wants the bamn bike! SMOKEINHISEYES is a very trusted friend of mine and I regrettably know how he feels about the situation and his loyalty with a friend has not and will not be compromised as far as I am concerned.
I definitley know and understand loyalty to a dealer. I am very loyal to mine, but it is because they treat every customer as family and treat every person that comes through the door with honesty and respect.

My problem is that if I buy the bike somewhere else and go back in there for service then I know I am going to be treated like @%$#! Here is what I wrote this A.M before I found this thread......... Went in with financing but the sales girl started jacking me around and adding $$ to it. 165$ for pushing paper $600 for transportation and crating. Then wanted to start shaving down the $1200 in free stuff to get the bike priced where I wanted it. At this point I had been in her office for 3 hrs....yes I said three hrs. I was so worn down that I said I would be back......with fresh blood(my wife. so had to have my wife go in there and talk with her woman to woman. All she got was more run around but the lady offered us 10% off anything in there store forever if we bought the bike and free T-shirt, because HER CUSTOMERS ALWAYS GET A FREE SHIRT. Found out after we left(with out the bike) that you get the 10% anyway when you join RAT! Anyone out there got any advice, brick, torch or any ideas. If there are any dealers reading these let me know if you have a bike and want a long distance customer!
Peter, you were just reated very wrong by that dealer. None of it sounds right at all. If they bent over backwards for Michael to get him a good deal and service, they should do that for each and every customer. In my oinion, someone should get in touch with the owner/general manager of the dealership. If the GM or owner is not willing to give you the same deal as Mike, then definitely go somewhere else. I know you are concerned with being treated well by the service department, but when you do go in for service, just deal with the service department and not the sales floor.
Is this a small shop or is it a mega super store dealer? What is the name of the dealer?
