I got an '03 TBA about a month ago, 6000 miles on it. Several times now I've heard a noise, sort of a "plink" like a snap-action switch tripping. I feel it in the grips too, as if somebody tapped lightly on the frame with something metal. Each time I've been stopped at a light, about 5 minutes or so after starting the bike cold. Of course it could be happening while riding too, but it's quiet enough that I wouldn't hear it.
If our bikes were liquid cooled I'd think it was the fan kicking in. Any ideas what this might be?
