I'm not sure if the dealer would take an oil sample if there was an engine failure. I know that this is the procedure in the heavy duty truck world. Although most sample labs would need a sample of new oil also to compare. But since it seems like most everyone here runs what they want anyway I shouldn't be too concerned.
