If you're into fowl you'll dig it.... it's like a bird parfait. Yes, I've had it, and yes I've even made it. Trust me, ordering one is the best thing you could have done. Talk about labor intensive.... unless you have the knife skills of a ninja making birds into meat sweaters is not to be taken lightly. Enjoy!

I made one for the Superbowl a while back; SUPER labor intensive, my favorite part is the different layers of dressing between each bird. Takes a looonnngg time to cook too. Good Eatin.

Cajun Grocer has them for $78 for a 15 pounder, I think I might know what I'm doing for my thanksgiving dinner this year...

The Meat Market (our local meat market ~~ hence the name) has a 25 lb "bird" for $100. That's what I ordered. I pick it up next Friday for a Thanksgiving Celebration at church on Sunday. You guys and gals are all welcome to come to church Sunday morning and join us for lunch ~~ my treat.

Tur Duc Hen???!!! Yeah?! Did the Vice President of the Provincial Government of South Vietnam(last known residence: Westminster California, aka "Little Saigon") just DIE or somethin'??? OH! What a minute! Sorry. You're talkin' FOOD here, aren't cha?! Sounds good! But one question....How would ya CARVE the darn thing??? (I'm still tryin' not to make a mess of the traditional turkey ALONE every year, ya know!!!)

Yep! Just like a good Single Malt Scotch, you might call me "an acquired taste" TOO.(among the many OTHER things you may care to call me, of course)

TurDucHens- All the seperate birds are boned before being but together with layers of stuffing between them so to carve it, you simply use a knife and cut off a hunk.

What's next? Lamb Pig Cow? Sausage Wiener Kielbasa? All this inter-species stuffing just sounds very wrong, on many levels...

Somehow, I get this image of Aarvark Animation crossing the film rating line, to make this little holiday piece. Like Deon says, this all seems so wrong.
Can't get the Fig Newton song out of my head.

...is that not the ancient and bizarre martial art form that was the basis of Bruce Lee's Jeet Kune Do, or perhaps that was Tang Soo Do, or Moo Duk Kwan?

I wonder if the "Tur-Duc-Hen" was the inspiration for the people who recently grew an ear on some guy's arm?

You will love it. Try a pork loin stuffed with a big old spicy sausage. Works good with deer tender loin stuffed with pork and vinison sausage. Ummmmm good! We used to reserve the deer version tenderloin for the hunters.
