Don't worry about that big guy...I stole a company car last night. But I guess the big bossmen wouldn't be too happy to find out that I stole their car then wrecked the thing.

Eh...guess I do need a career change anyways

ok! here you go*...

5 Whites Pond Road
Wilmot, NH 03287
Phone: 603-768-3350

From Boston, take Rt 93 NORTH
To 89 NORTH
Take exit 11 to Route 11 E/KING RIDGE RD. exit- toward ANDOVER/NEW LONDON
Go about 7 miles
TAKE LEFT onto 4a (NOT 4) - turn is just before a Mobile Gas station (they sell kayaks there too)
Go about 3 miles to Wilmot center (which is basically a cluster of houses)
Take RIGHT onto North Wilmot Road
Follow the signs to CAMP WILMOT (about 4 miles, 10-15 minutes along tree-lined road)
Last sign tells you to take Left onto North Wilmot Road. Camp is about 75 yards on left down hill, #5 Whites Pond (Looks like a white farm house...cause ...well...it is).
Wilmot is about 2 hours from Boston.

* insert standard "your actual mileage blah blah" here

It's not lookin good for me at this point... Stayed home again today. I hope to get at least a half day of work in tomorrow. This flu really kicked my ****** big time. I guess the whole MS thing kinda complicated things when your immune system is in overdrive.... Fever is down! But still congested and weak from it all. I'm honestly not happy about missing 6 hours in the car, but I am bummin about missing you guys

li'l m report:
(kind of short and sweet)
came home early yesterday; just a little run down after almost a week with the flu followed by a wonderful stint with insomnia...i was a little grumpy, okay? (well, not really--sorry folks.)all that aside. Rob, Aunt Cathy and Lee are amazing
hosts. if you head up there now, i am certain they will make every effort to feed you. do not leave your appetite at home with this crowd. the adults are probably still asleep; but i can almost guarantee you all the kids are awake. ask me how i know.

we learned all kinds of things can be done with gummy bears.
i learned how to play dominoes.
there was some cut throat group solitaire game going on.
i learned that three kids can play one piano at the same time and make it sound like avant garde jazz.

got there friday afternoon, after the last portion of my directions had me driving in a small circle for about 20 minutes. Rob and all the kids came out to unload my car, i said hi to Cathy and Lee, then Rob and me headed down to Manchester Airport to retrieve Keith.

Rob drove my car. oh man.

as if there wasn't enough food there already, we had to make a supermarket stop for more stuff--TP and hot peppers--no joke. huge market, thought i was gonna get lost in there. Rob shops like he writes. very detailed and all over the place at the same time.

did i mention Rob drove my car?

got back to camp. the Canadian contingency was there. 12 hours on the road. Nancy drove 2 hours. don't let John try to tell you any differently. Adam is officially a roadtripper now. he was in the car for 12 hours and only asked, "how much further?" 14 times.
************************************************************

we had plenty of snow for tubing and snowmovehicle riding.
though not enough moisture in the air or snow for a snow ball, let alone a snow dog.

Keith became a black coffee convert with a dose or 5 of my "special" brew, John and Nancy are going shopping for a coffee press. we powered through a pound of the good stuff in little over 24 hours.

Mark and me played some music in the barn; but it was darn cold enough that we couldn't feel our right hands. made picking an interesting proposition.

certainly the other folks can and will give you a more thorough report. just wanted to post a couple of pics and a brief rundown of my time. i'd write more now but i have to get ready for work and i haven't done the GA countdown yet. i am certain Thom has been pacing at his computer for hours...

(just a note about the wall decor--remember this is a church camp) no affiliation for us 'cept it's where we hung out for the weekend.

Food? What...did they finally start cooking once I left? I was getting sick of all the stale potato chips, cold Domino's pizza, and flat soda. Figures...

Yes , another one in the books. For those who came to the event I thank you very much and hope everyone had a wonderful time . I think the snow mobiles on Saturday were a big hit . I want to see and a copy of all the pictures that were taken . If you can please send me a copy. In looking over the leftovers it looks like I may have picked up an extra food item or two hundred . Can't run short now can we . I want your ideas for next year, I've already booked the camp for MLK 09 weekend . I hope everyone got home safe and
NERTZ......

We made it home about 45 minutes ago. Two white-outs, a near rear ender and an accident that took us over an hour and a half to get around made for an interesting ride. This time I made Nancy drive and I slept all of the way home.

Thanks to Rob, Cathy and Lee for an excellent weekend of food, tubing, food, cards, food and snow-mo-vehicling.

Ok I know I have been "quiet" regarding the end of the rally...
It's because I'm working on something a little different for a wrap up...

But in the interum...
Let me say that it was a boat load of fun and great to see everyone!! The food was pleantiful (to say the least) and the company was great! Some of our "non BA.com" friends joined us and had an equally good time and were a buzz with the facinating diversity of the group and how such an unlikely combination of people interacted with each other so incredibly well! All drawn together by one common interest AND thru the internet! They had nothing but nice things to say about everyone! And were thrilled to finnaly put faces to names (they all had read the various stories I've penned about various rallys. They are already talking about next year! The "snowmovehicles" owners have vowed to return in force next year and they intend to stay longer than just the day! All in all it was a great time with some truely awesome individuals! I'm pleased to have been able to have a part in putting it together, and look forward to doing it again.

Now I'm going to go pour my self a 'juice' and chill!
