I won't be making it up. I've got family stuff going on that's keeping me close to home- my aunt, who I help my mother care for, has been hospitalized again for chronic heart and pulmonary disease. When this happens there's always a short skilled nursing placement to arrange for after she's stable to come out of the hospital, then setting up home nursing care and therapy for post discharge.

Spoke with Matt last night and we are picking him up on our way through New York. This is perfect I need someone bigger to help Adam unload the van while I stand around supervising.

I know how you feel Paula, being the oldest kid and the first in the family to know english makes for alot of me doing medical, legal and financial paperwork/translation for the parents.

It's too bad though since I've heard many good things from several members here about you.

Okay folks .. we're getting close so it is time to start firming everything up . Rob and I have been working on the menu items and have a good plan put together. What I need from you all is to send me a pm and let me know who is coming , when you'll be arriving and when your planning on departing .
I need this info to make sure I have enough food for each meal . Once I get all of this I'll post the list of who is attending . Oh yeah we haven't counted Dwight out just yet and I still haven't heard anything from the Dill contingent .

After spending big big bucks(and much more than we thought initially) remodeling the house in Prescott, and with a planned visit coming up shortly to Kelowna BC to see my newfound birth mother again(you might have read about this a while back), I just don't have the money to attend what looks like will be an even better rally this year back there.

(and DANG IT!!! You guys got SNOW and SNOWMOBILES lined up this year TOO!!!)

Lee, still the three of us but know it looks like I'll be picking up Matt on the way over. It also looks like we'll be leaving around midnight so we are hoping to be there by 2 in the afternoon. We'll be leaving on Monday sometime.

the last two days have been well into the 60's so the snow pack around here is shrinking...the weather is still suposed to be above adverage for the next few days...but no where near the 60's...hopefully the snow will last long enough (dammm we are never happy here with the weather...not enough snow...too much snow...too hot...too rainy...whah whah whah...)

not to worry , looks like Monday 1/14 the mountains are going to get hit with yet another storm that could dump another foot of the white stuff . This is good , this way all of the dirty snow will be covered with a fresh blanket of white . Looking forward to seeing everyone there . Keep sending those pm's

Oh I forgot 1 thing , who is willing to play the roll of photographer for the weekend ? I want folks there to take lots of pictures so we make the rest of the folks want to come next year .

Man, this New England hospitality, I tell ya'. Stopped by Rob's place straight from the airport. Met the whole fam damily. Great people. On the way out, Rob shows me his wine cellar. Very nice. Amazingly enough, my eye picks up immediately on the 18 year McCallan. Promptly told that particular bottle is abso-freaking-lutely off limits. Well, we went to dinner. Nice joint, nice meal. I am still troubling my mind to find out what is gonna take to get Rob to put out some of this veritable nectar of the gods.

Really, thx for everything Rob. I am sure you an Lee are putting together a great weekend for us. I will definitely have some time during the week to hang out and such. Looking forward to seeing everybody.

I can't wait, I need to get out of here now.

yup !!!! still snowing . Looks like as of 10:30 this am we have a fresh blanket of about 8" and it is still coming down at over an 1" per hour . Short week see you guys and gals soon .

I would love to get there early the only one stopping us is Nancy. I'm good, Adam probably won't concentrate all week in school, I'm sure Matt would be up for it.

Well I'm officially sick as a dog. Was OK this morning, but made a doc appointment anyway, first thing they had was 5PM which turned into 6! By then I was aching all over, etc. I haven't gotten the flu in forever! Like literally can't remember. I usually get the sniffles or a sore throat like once a year... Anyway, got some meds and renewed my inhaler. Hoping to be ready to roll by the weekend! I'll keep you guys posted. You'd think this whole hyperactive immune system thing would help me out... Oh well. I may have to abbreviate my stay, but I'm commin! Kim bought more socks

Getting close now, the mountains received a fresh 12" blanket of snow yesterday . The forecast is calling for possible another storm on Friday .This will add to our fun for the weekend but make the drive in a little crazy. All drive save and see you in a few .

We are planning on making it over to the rally for an afternoon when would be good?

Well I checked out the map. It's right near Grantham where my uncle has rented a condo a couple times on a lake there. He's from Utah, so when he comes east for a couple weeks, its much easier for them to just get a nice place and everyone to come to him (7 siblings, various spouses, 13 in my generation...) I think out record was 21 at once... Nice field to play wiffle ball, raft in the lake to jump off of, rope swing, etc. Kinda nice!

Point is I know where I'm going Should be a 4 hour drive from the ferry.

Well I'm no better today... PRobably stay home tomorrow too. The wife mentioned the V word today (veto) so we'll see. I really want to see everyone! Freakin flu... NEVER get it.
