Okay folks , just throwing it out there . How many of you would be interesting in getting together once again this winter . Rob and I are going to be out with the Scouts in a couple of weeks at the camp we reserved last Martin Luther Kings weekend. Dwight , I do believe you had a great time last year. Up for another trip ?

Lee- I'm interested. Are you looking at the MLK long weekend again?

That's good cause I've been trying to get Paula to let me teach her daughter for months and she just is not having it.

I was worried about her picking it up on the streets instead of in a controlled environment. Imagine that phone call at 2:00am "Hello, is this Emily's mother? You're gonna need to come to the hospital, it appears your daughter has been badly burned in a horendous fart lighting accident."
And it could all be avoided...

Kids will experiment. It's better to let them learn in a controlled environment.
That's why I'm happy to let you guys show Adam this. I'll be running interference with Nancy. He's lived his whole life surrounded by women and being babied. Time to learn more of the manly arts.
Sure he could be taught important skills for work, how to be mature, things like that. But the way I look at it if Nancy wanted him to be taught those things she shouldn't be dating me.

I'll take my chances.....
Interestingly, when I've looked ahead at the visitation schedule...Em is due to be with me that weekend. But I'm thinking that when I say to her, "Honey, wanna come up to NH with me for a weekend with some of the BA.com folks?" and she says, "What are we going to be doing?" and I say, "Shaking our heads in disbelief while the yutes light their farts on fire." she'll say "I'm going to Auntie Ellen's that weekend."

This thread is just too funny. I'm dying here laughing just reading it. But seriously exactly what kinds of things do you guys do at a rally in January? (besides lighting farts). Ride bikes around on frozen lakes? I need more education on this winter rally concept.

THe winter rally was concieved last year to help pass the time, here in the north, when riding was not an option...just to get together and hang out...with the added benifit of winter sports, snowmobiling, skiing, sledding, and such....but alas last year held no such sports, as it was a snowless event...although it did snow as we were departing...the place we get is a church camp...so it requires a great deal of restraint from the sometimes typical adult beverages...but there were some creative souls who still managed...but absolute discression was/is required...many simply choose not to bother...but it had little effect on the good time we had...and we eat like kings!!!

It`s a good reason to see friends in the off months.
Plus if their is snow I`ve been promised a large hill for tobogganing with wrecked cars and large rocks at the bottom.
The fart lighting is more on an evening sport.

there IS a large hill for toboganing and it DOES have dead vehicles and large boulders at the end!

I believe bourbon does look like apple juice...however the stumbling, slurring, falling down, fart lighting guy collapsed in a heap in the corner, might be difficult to pass off as a "juice" drinker...and might not be considered discrete

Im working on getting a note from my doctor. i want my sluring and stumbleing to be doucmented as a medical problems. That way any one that comes by wont think that ive been drinking.

Details boys. Details! Might look at burning some of the frequent flier miles and such. Where do I need to fly into? Do I need to rent a car? How many days do I need to take off work? Will one 1.75L bottle of bourbon be enough or should I get two? Is Matt gonna have to wear clothes or not? Do we have to attend church services Sunday morning? etc. etc.

My guess would be to fly into Manchester, but you could always fly into Providence or Boston & I can give you a ride.

I live less than three miles from TF Green airport (providence) If you fly in there I can pick you up and if you get there the day before it starts I can give you a place to sleep too. If that's what you decide to do you won't need to rent a car. I fully support taking as much time off of work as possible it's been my expierence that it's a much easier transition going back if you take a couple of days to relax at home before going back to work. As much burbon as possible, any left overs can be taken back with you. It's better to have too much than not enough. Matt's decision weather or not to wear clothes is his own and I don't think we should pressure him either way. I don't know about the church thing, I guess you're on your own for that.
