Years ago, actor James Garner was in a hit series on tv called "The Rockford Files."
One summer break, during the height of the series popularity, Garner held out for the then unprecedented sum of $65,000 per episode to continue with the series.
The network balked at first, but ended up paying him what he wanted.
During a "60 Minutes" interview Garner was asked whether he felt a little ashamed, or perhaps a little greedy, for asking for so much.
Garner's response was..."I used to, until I found out there were people who could pay it."
The same principal applies with A-Rod's situation.
There are businessmen in the "front office" who make a large amount of money due to the box office draw of A-Rod.
I see nothing wrong with A-Rod demanding a nice, fat portion of it.
