Rob, this one line of yours is precisely the reason Triumph(and most other M/C companies) prefer to keep their future models a secret from the public. They feel, just as your thoughts indicate, that they lose sales due to people waiting to see "what's coming out next year".

In the summer of 2006, I was up at the MotoGP races at Laguna Seca assisting Matt Capri of SoBay Triumph showing his bored and stroked 1147cc custom-built Bonnie to the public at the Triumph truck exhibit in the enfield area. This one guy walked up and asked me about the 2006 Tiger, but said he had heard a whole new Tiger was to hit the market in 2007. I replied that I had also read that particular rumor in Cycle World magazine recently.

Unfortunately, the Vice-President of Triumph Marketing was walking behind me when I said what I said, and she proceeded to walk right behind the guy I was talking to and she gave me a look filled with daggers!!! After I finished talking with the guy, she walked up and told me in no uncertain terms, "We DON'T say stuff like that around here, Dwight! It kills the sales of our present models!"

Yep! Just like a good Single Malt Scotch, you might call me "an acquired taste" TOO.(among the many OTHER things you may care to call me, of course)
