Sure would be nice to have the option when the battery is dead.

Dick, I have a Boyer-Bransden electronic ignition on my 1970 custom 650 Triumph Streettracker, and the bike won't kick start(or start at all) if the battery isn't charged up to a certain level.

And so I'm not sure, but I wonder if our Hinckley Triumphs with their electronic ignitions would start with a kick if their batteries were in the same state???

(anybody care to offer a guess here?)

One of my mistakes with my Speedy was not to notice the battery terminal was loose.
Wouldn't start.
Second gear, full choke, five steps- VAROOM!!!
