Toys for Tots

Weather permitting- I'm planning on it (which means no 6degrees like last year! The start point is only 62MILES from home by expressway) and I'm trying to get Jen to consider it. I may find some place closer to stay the night before if the weather is too cold!

Last year, Steve(Glazer) and I, and the wives, went and warmed up with beers and burgers at a cool little bar near his place afterwards.

Two weeks to go.... Definitely planning on it Stew. I'm hoping since the last two years were a horror in regards to the weather we get a break this time. What about the rest of the Chicago area gang? Any other takers?
If you wanna ride it up the nite before Stew, you (and Jen) are more than welcome to stay here, house is under construction and full of dogs but I got a spare room and it sure is a LOT closer than 62 miles and of course there is always that free winter storage deal, hehehehehehe.

I'm gonna try to make it this year, weather permitting. Just bought a house in Grayslake, and set to close on the 5th, so I'll have to sneak out while the wife is packing up the apt.

No, I think he means that pub about three blocks up the street from where the "official" start of the parade happens.
Just in case, where exactly was that alarm shop at anyway, always nice to stop by and say hi to Keith's friends, hehehehe.

First off, it was easily at least a mile to that pub. What, you don't like the people I associate with?

Hoping to have my younger brother with this year, he bought a Honda Shadow this year. Again, I plan on being there but as you know, my planning on this one goes pretty much by the seat of the pants.

Pretty much my decision to go is based on the fact if I can get my bike down the alley without dumping it.... then dress accordingly. So I'm betting I'll be there. I'll go by the alarm shop and see if them boys are up for it. Planning on being there between 6 'n 7 in the morn, hope to see you all there!

Well right now I have about an inch of ice and frozen rain covering the drive and streets and its still coming down. Will be checking the weather every couple of hours... not looking good right now.

Gonna get up in the AM and make the call. Sounds like most of the guys I was gonna head into the city with are already calling it. If my neighborhood isn't an ice rink or it isn't raining I think I will be going into the city. If not bless all you braver souls than me. I think we are looking at leaving from out here around 8'ish if we go. Steve, what the he!! has gotten in to you waking that early. Have you become a morning person. LOL! Yeah, right!

uh, okay, between 7 and 8 then, uh, maybe 8:30?

Anyway, I'll make the call when I get up to see if it's a go or not... already salted the area outside the garage and halfway down the alley. The whole T for T thing is about the only thing I am hardcore about... my contribution to the Christmas season, cheer, good will to man and all that so I am guessing if I make the call to NOT go none of you are going to be down there looking for me. Uh, I meant that in a nice way you know that right? Morning person indeed, BLAAAAAH!!
