Can't help with the prices as I am in the UK, we can haggle a little bit on MSRP but not a great deal. My America (2004) the dealer would not move at all on the price, but I was trading in my old T140E. I paid £6500.00 of which Triumph threw in £500.00 of clothing at the time.
If I had thought about it before hand I think I would of gone down the road of secondhand as you usually find a very good one which has had a few extras fitted to it (Chrome Goodies that is)
So if you feel you are being ripped off, go second hand, and save yourself a lot of $$$$$ in the long run.
