I imagine there are many riders in here who are guitar players. How can you safely (your safety and the guitar's) transport it driving your cycle? I don't have my dream TBA yet, but I keep wondering how I'd be able to ride with my full-size guitar in a hardshell case?

If you will check out " Motorcycle Mama " posted today , read the lyrically masterful composition , you will gain some insight as to how to safely and effectively transport that thing . I think Brent sells them now .

best thing I can think of is one of those softshell cases that has straps so you can wear it on your back like a bookbag.

I keep my air guitar in my pocket till I've had too many drinks, then I shred hardcore!

I've seen a few strapped vertically to the sissy bar with good results. Personally, I wouldn't ever put a guitar I really loved in a situation where it could be exposed to rain or flying objects. Yes, that's right, no Bob's Country Bunker for me

Get a Steinberger Spirit. It's compact and made of a weather-proof composite. Darn near indestructable too.

Between the vibration, change in humidity and temps we encounter, I would be loath to carry any stringed instrument on our bikes.....

Ok, the situation being, going from point A to point B, a short half-hour journey each way, and favorable weather.
Perhaps I assumed wrong that there are guitar players in this forum?

OK..I use something like this http://www.musicroom.com/se/ID_No/0405581/details.html Alright for short journeys, but wouldn't dream of carrying mine far, or in poor weather. More padding the better !!
