If you change your pipes, airbox or anything else you need a computer to re-adjust your fuel injection settings.

I thought you had to do the same thing with carbs, such as rejetting? My brother has a Yamaha cruiser with carbs, and he has a powercommander for regulating fuel.
Anyway, what I have noticed about FI over carbs is that the same bike with FI seems to get better mpg, and is also not sensative to changes in altitude. I love the looks of the Speedmaster and America. Some of the changes I wanted to see before considering one of these bikes was tubless tires, FI, and belt drive. It's getting really close! Until then, I will continue to ride my V-Strom which has FI & tubeless tires (still has darn chain!) and runs flawlessly at any elevation. Love the Triumphs though, and hope 2009 brings some great changes.
